Terms of Service

By accessing or using FableLab ("the Service") at fablelab.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

FableLab is an AI-powered service that generates personalized bedtime stories and coloring pages for children. Parents and guardians provide a child's first name, age group, interests, and a moral theme. The Service uses artificial intelligence to create a unique story PDF and a printable coloring page PDF.

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account
• Accounts are created via Google OAuth sign-in
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• You may not share your account credentials or transfer your account to another person
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

• Stories are purchased using Sparks. Each story generation consumes 1 Spark
• Sparks are purchased in packs via Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles all payment processing, invoicing, and VAT/tax obligations
• All prices shown include applicable taxes (handled by Lemon Squeezy)
• Sparks are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
• Spark packs are non-refundable once purchased, except as described in our Refund Policy
• New users receive 1 free welcome Spark upon sign-up
• Bonus Sparks from referrals are subject to the referral program terms

• Stories and coloring pages are generated by artificial intelligence and may vary in quality
• Every story passes through an automated safety and quality review system
• Stories that fail safety checks are blocked, and the Spark is refunded automatically
• Generated PDFs are available for download via signed URLs that expire after 7 days. New download links can be generated on demand from your account
• We do not guarantee that generated content will meet all expectations — AI output is inherently variable

You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use stories and coloring pages generated for you through the Service. This includes:

• Reading the story aloud to your child
• Printing the coloring page for personal use
• Sharing individual coloring pages with friends and family

You may NOT:

• Sell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated content
• Claim authorship of AI-generated stories
• Use the Service to generate content for competing products
• Remove watermarks from coloring pages

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to generate harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Circumvent rate limits, safety systems, or access controls
• Use automated tools to mass-generate content
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the Service or its AI models

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Sparks in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for content generated by AI — while we implement safety systems, AI output cannot be guaranteed to be error-free

• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms
• Upon termination, unused Sparks are forfeited unless otherwise required by law
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (IP, liability, disputes)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the consumer's EU member state, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
